Linen squares edged with St. Helena lace

top ~7.25" square (18.41cm)
bottom ~7" square (17.78cm)
Good condition. The lace looks washed and wrinkled, localized breaks, folds and creases. If parts of the photos look a bit grey it is because I had to dampen that area to get it to lie flat.

The date of these pieces are unknown. It's even harder to tell which is the front and back side. The lace seems to be a Torchon pattern, with some drawnwork and fillings done in the linen centers. Ian Bruce has written an excellent piece on the St. Helena lace industry, probably dated around 2010: St Helena Lace and Needlework
